Always wondered what happened to my childhood friend John. last time I heard you were at Humboldt State in the 70's. I went to the Art Center of Design myself. Don't do social media of any kind. I ended up in Ukiah, Mendocino county.

I've really been enjoying your strips, John. Ever since MAD Magazine began combining characters from different comics in the latter 50s, I've been drawn to these scenarios as in your recent inclusion of the Woodring cat. So how long have been doing your current strip?

Hello,
My name's Gabe Doran and I met you briefly back in 2016 at the closing sale at Fantagraphics down in south Seattle. I had bought three issues of Workbot on a whim and you autographed them with a neat little personalized doodle and said with a light chuckle: "Oh, you're gonna hate it!" Mr. Ohannesian, you could not have been more wrong. I absolutely LOVE your work! Not only did your comics bring me loads of joy in the traditional sense but they also inspired me to start my own comics series (check out "Narcissism In Black" on facebook, don't worry, this isn't just a shameless for of self promotion) which has helped me get through, and express the nonsense that comes with being alive (not to get all mushy or nothin'). I just wanted to thank you for making comics and that I really appreciate your charmingly zany sense of humor. I recently dug up those three issues of Workbot and have been showing them to all my friends and everyone has loved them. They are currently some of my prized sentimental possessions. Just though I'd let ya know.
